The Content Shifts That Help You Make More Sales

I've been doing things differently for the month of June. I wanted to create a way to amplify my own accountability and action this month while staying laser-focused on my intention.
So, I've been running a little experiment that's reminded me of this in a big way. I started a brand-new secret social media account with zero followers to test how 'hard' it is to stand out online. And in the first 5 days, I went viral on that platform with over 6k views on 8 separate videos and 20 reshares on 3 pieces of content (each).
This challenge to myself has shown me what's possible when there are no restrictions and no warm audience. Here's what it reinforced for me.
Curiosity Is Not the Same as Commitment
You can provide a solution, and someone can say they want it, but that doesn't automatically mean they will buy from you. If this happens, it means you've done a good job at building curiosity - which is a great starting point. But it's not the finish line.
You might hop to posting more content, hoping volume closes the gap. Or you might drop your prices, thinking that affordability is the barrier.
If someone doesn't buy, it's rarely because of the price. Something in your marketing hasn't fully answered the questions they have - why now, why this, why you?
What's Actually Happening When Someone Doesn't Buy
If you find interest in your work, without the follow-through of sales, I want you to take a look at these pieces of your marketing:
How you position your content. Does it speak directly to what your ideal client is feeling right now?
What you share and how you share it. Are you positioning your offer in a way that makes the decision feel like an obvious yes?
What your micro messages are. Are they landing? These are the little things you say every day to build trust and activate buying behaviour.
The types of content that move your ideal buyers. Do you know what your ideal client actually needs to move forward (versus what you think they need)?
Identify the language that activates your buyers. Are you missing the mark by using language that feels unfamiliar to them? What are some things you can say to change that?
These changes can make a world of difference in how you build relationships with leads and make more sales because of it.
Being Brave Enough to Test
I decided to do June differently because I know that growth stops when learning stops. The moment you think you've got it all figured out is usually the moment your results plateau.
So, if your content is getting attention but not sales, use that as data. It's a sign that it's time to get curious, look at your positioning, what you're saying, and whether the words you're using are activating your buyers or just attracting lurkers.
Doing things bravely and differently is available to you, too! This is your permission slip to test, take risks, and try. This is the month to innovate without a plan - because stepping out of your comfort zone shouldn't be saved for your next 'uplevel'.
The daily effort to continue growing is always at your fingertips, and it starts now.
