Who You Buy From Matters (And Why You Need to Rethink How You Invest)

Let's talk about who you should be buying from and investing with, and why it matters more than ever. This is your mini pep talk/training on making smart, aligned investments that actually move you forward. Some might disagree with me, but that’s okay. I’m here to tell you what I know to be true after nearly a decade in this space.
Don’t Buy the Hype — Buy the Results
Too often, people invest because of what someone has achieved for themselves. They see the big numbers, the fancy launches, the high-gloss results and think, “If I work with them, I’ll get that too.” But here’s what happens: You join the program… and realize their business model doesn’t fit your life. Maybe they don’t have kids. Maybe they have a huge team or endless time. Maybe they run their business 24/7 and you don’t want to.
So instead of chasing someone else’s version of success, ask yourself:
Can this person help me get the result I want?
Have they consistently supported others in doing so?
Do I align with the way they live, lead, and work?
Because alignment + proven ability to get results for clients beats shiny success every single time. People buy from you because of the result you help them achieve, not because of what you’ve done for yourself.
If I’m learning tennis, I don’t care if you’re a world champion, I care if you can teach me to play better.
Same with websites, coaching, yoga, it’s all about how you can support your clients.
What to Look for When You Invest
When you decide to work with someone, make sure they:
Align with your lifestyle and values. Do they run their business in a way you admire, and could see yourself doing?
Get real results for their clients. Not just themselves.
Understand and adapt to your learning style. True mentors meet you where you are and teach in ways that fit you.
Offer personalized support. You’re not a template and your business shouldn’t be treated like one.
Why You Invest (And Why Waiting Won’t Work)
Waiting rarely gets you closer to your goals. You invest when you have a problem you can’t solve without massive time, stress, or focus. You invest because:
You want to save yourself time.
You want less stress and faster clarity.
You want support that frees up your energy for what really matters.
For me, time is my most valuable commodity. If someone can show me in 5 minutes what took them 5 years to master, I’m investing. Because I don’t want to sacrifice my peace, family, and energy to figure it out the long way.
When you try to do it all on your own, yes, you might eventually get the result, but you’ll likely be burnt out, resentful, and exhausted when you do. That’s not sustainable success.
The Real Value of Investing
It’s not about spending money. It’s about expanding what’s possible for you. It’s about getting there faster, lighter, and with more joy. You don’t invest because you can’t. You invest because you value your time, energy, and growth.
