How to Start Your Week Right

How to Start Your Week Right With 5 Simple Business Activities

These 5 simple business activities will help you start your week on the right foot so you can have a productive Monday and rest of the week.


1. Look at your desktop and get organised.

When you log into your computer on Monday morning, get your desktop organised and set up for success.

  • Do you have folders set up for your clients?

  • Are your files all saved in the right place?

  • Have you deleted everything you DO NOT need?

2. Log into your main business systems.

Log into all of your main business systems and check your analytics and notifications, such as emails, posts, comments, new opt-ins, DM's new enquiries, etc.


You'll also want to track your payments and ensure you see anything new that may have happened or come through overnight. Look to see if there are new payments or completed invoices that you can file.


3. Change your background!

This is a fun tip to help you set the mood and tone for the week! Find a new empowering quote or inspirational photo and set this as your new desktop background for the week. Creating your own pattern interrupts is a great way to engage your visual senses. Plus, you can use your background as a form of vision board, rotating through different photos that inspire you each week.


4. Communicate.

Communication is key in business, so clear out your email and social media inboxes, check-in with your project management system, whether that be Trello, Asana, ClickUp, etc, follow up with any leads, and speak to any clients that have asked you questions.


5. Close your laptop and go for a walk!

The beauty of being a business owner is working on YOUR terms. You can spend less time working by re-energizing and re-focusing yourself with a movement break, which leads to more focus and productivity when you are working!


Just think about how much time (outside of calls) you are on your laptop without any prevail? Hours can go by and you may not feel like you've achieved anything.


However, with this 5-step structure for how to start your week right, you'll be well on your way to productive and energetic Mondays and weeks ahead!
