Move your body. Whether it's a 5-10 minute walk or a 30 minute workout at the gym, moving your body releases those happy hormones you need to protect your mental health. 3. Play a song that reminds you of a happy time. Music can be so therapeutic and is good for the soul. 4. Speak to a loved one. Call a friend, family member, or talk to a therapist. 5. Take a drive. Not only does this change the scenery, but sometimes getting out of the house and driving can help you clear your head. 6. Declutter a wardrobe / cupboard. Doing a task that makes you feel better and more organized can help you feel more accomplished and lighter, mentally.
