Protecting Your Mental Health in Business

As someone who has struggled with my own mental health, anxiety, and abandonment issues from my teens to late 20’s, to now being pregnant and wanting to manage my mental health and well-being, I am reminded just how important it is to protect your mental health in business.

Read on for these 5 reminders for protecting your mental health in business. No matter what, just remember, above all else, you DESERVE to be happy. Never feel guilty for doing what you need to do to make yourself the happiest, healthiest version of you.

5 Practical Mood Boosters and Changers for Protecting Your Mental Health

1. Change your environment, even if just for 5 minutes. Stretch your legs, grab a drink or a snack, or get outside and go for a short walk. Changing the scenery can change your mindset. 2. Move your body. Whether it's a 5-10 minute walk or a 30 minute workout at the gym, moving your body releases those happy hormones you need to protect your mental health. 3. Play a song that reminds you of a happy time. Music can be so therapeutic and is good for the soul. 4. Speak to a loved one. Call a friend, family member, or talk to a therapist. 5. Take a drive. Not only does this change the scenery, but sometimes getting out of the house and driving can help you clear your head. 6. Declutter a wardrobe / cupboard. Doing a task that makes you feel better and more organized can help you feel more accomplished and lighter, mentally.

Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. Don't ever be afraid to stand up for yourself and ask for help when you need it. Remember, you deserve to be the happiest version of yourself. Comment below and let me know how you are protecting your mental health in this season.
