How to Create Content Even When You're Busy

I get asked this all the time: "How do you prepare your content? How do you always have content ready? How are you so consistent with showing up?"
So I wanted to break it down because this isn’t coming from someone with endless free time. Yes, I have a 3-year-old. Yes, she’s with me most of the time. And when she’s not, I’m usually on client calls. My workdays aren’t wide open for content creation. And that’s exactly why the way I create content matters.
Daily Content Creation Does Not Mean Visibility
I use the time I already have, intentionally. For example, when I’m attending events, meetings, or heading somewhere I’m already prepared for, I arrive early. If I’m dressed, presentable, and waiting anyway, that’s a perfect moment to record content. In one of those pockets of time, I can easily record 10–12 pieces of content in one go. That content isn’t for immediate posting. It’s created to support the business months down the line — ads, campaigns, visibility assets that are planned and purposeful. That level of ease doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because my business is mapped out in advance.
Strategy First, Content Second
My business runs on clarity. I know:
my launches
my timelines
my team’s roles
the structure supporting everything
Because of that, I’m never guessing what to create. When I know where the business is going, I know:
what my role is
what content is actually needed
how I need to show up
and how to support my team effectively
That clarity changes everything, not just content, but how calm the business feels.
When You Know the Plan, You Use Time Differently
With a clear strategy in place, even small pockets of time become powerful. Those videos go straight to my ads manager or content team. They might not be used immediately, but they’re banked. That creates leverage:
a content bank
an ads bank
visual assets ready when needed
Nothing is rushed.Nothing is panicked. Nothing has to be perfect. I’m not creating content because I have to. I’m creating content because it supports the business long-term.
Visibility Doesn’t Require More Time — It Requires a Plan
If you feel like you don’t have time for:
brand awareness
visibility
content creation
The answer usually isn’t more effort. It’s better structure. I create content while:
waiting
travelling
already being somewhere
living my actual life
But never randomly. Every piece has a purpose. Every piece supports a bigger vision. Every piece exists for a reason. Without that, it’s easy to stay busy and still feel stuck. This is how you:
stay consistent without burnout
stop scrambling last minute
support your team properly
grow without everything relying on you
